Kansas State University Women in Business Impact Award

 

The Women in Business Initiative, hosted by the Center for Principled Business at K-State’s College of Business, is excited to announce the call for nominations for the 2024 Kansas State University Women in Business Impact Award. Established in 2022, this annual award recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to advancing women in business, the workplace, and the community. We invite the K-State community to nominate outstanding individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to supporting and uplifting women in leadership roles, both on campus and beyond.

 

Award Criteria:

The K-State Women in Business Impact Award is intended for individuals who:

  • Have made significant contributions to promoting gender equality and empowering women in business, civic, and/or university leadership
  • Demonstrate a commitment to mentorship, advocacy, and leadership in advancing women’s opportunities
  • Have positively impacted K-State, their community, or their industry through leadership, service, or mentorship
  • Serve as a role model for aspiring women leaders

 

Nomination Guidelines:

We encourage the submission of nominations from students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. Nominations should include (this will be in a survey):

  • Nominee's full name, title, and contact information
  • A description of the nominee’s contributions to advancing women in business, higher education, or their community, with examples of specific achievements (up to 500 words)
  • How the nominee has positively impacted women’s leadership at K-State and/or beyond (up to 300 words)

 

Submission Process:

Nominations should be submitted by October 7 by following this LINK. The recipient will be honored at the 4th Annual Women in Business Career Summit, taking place on October 28, 2024, at Kansas State University.

 

Selection Process:

The nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee comprised of leaders from the K-State Women in Business Initiative and key stakeholders. The recipient of the Women in Business Impact Award will be chosen based on the breadth and depth of their contributions to advancing women in business, leadership, and civic engagement.
