The K-State Center for Entrepreneurship works to enhance the talent pipeline in order to help build economic and social prosperity through innovation and the entrepreneurial mindset.
Entrepreneurship powers the American and global economies and is focused on opportunity recognition, creativity and innovation. This fast growing field gives students the knowledge and skills to turn their ideas into reality whether working for an existing organization or through a new venture.
The minor in entrepreneurship provides students with the knowledge and skills to pursue entrepreneurial activity in whatever career field you wish to pursue. The 15-credit hour minor is a great opportunity for any K-State student to develop these important skills for professional success.
Our Exploring Entrepreneurship Scholarship will provide 30 students with a $1,000 scholarship available for K-State students across campus to take their first entrepreneurship course in Fall of 2020. Priority review of applications begins March 16.

The Entrepreneurship Club’s purpose is to inspire and connect K-State students interested in innovation and entrepreneurship. The club hosts opportunities such as the Entrepreneurship Speaker Series and Wildcat Consulting, as well as many additional opportunities for students to network and prepare for an entrepreneurial career.
Launch is a series of entrepreneurial competitions for K-State students. The competition is open to all K-State undergraduate and graduate students or teams from all majors.
The Kansas Entrepreneurship Challenge is sponsored by the Kansas Masonic Foundation and Kansas Masons in partnership with Kansas State University and the Network Kansas Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (YEC) Series to promote entrepreneurship and small business development in Kansas. The competition is for student created, managed, and owned ventures.
The next Startup School will take place during Spring 2020 (planned for the second eight weeks). This course provides students the opportunity to explore their new business idea through access to world-class K-State faculty and alumni. Through this class, students will learn a variety of practical tools and resources and apply them to their venture concept with the goal of operating the business. Priority application review begins on November 1st.
