International Women's Day
International Women's Day
The College of Business previously partnered with organizations and colleges across campus and in the community to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8 in the Business Building Atrium.
Previous years' celebrations featured opportunities to learn about various organizations, participate in various activities, enjoy food from women-owned businesses, and take pictures at our photo booth! All students, faculty, staff, and community members are welcome to participate.
Pictures from last year's event are linked HERE. Photos taken by Sammy Kopecky of Samantha Kopecky Photography.
International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.
Marked annually on March 8th, International Women's Day (IWD) is one of the most important days of the year to:
- Celebrate women's achievements
- Raise awareness about women's equality
- Lobby for accelerated gender parity
- Fundraise for female-focused organizations
Future Events
Due to IWD falling close to or near spring break, we have taken a break from hosting events on campus. This may change in future years!
