International Women's Day

International Women's Day 2023

The College of Business is partnering with organizations and colleges across campus and in the community to celebrate International Women's Day on Wednesday, March 8 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Business Building Atrium. This year's IWD global theme is #EmbraceEquity.

This year's celebration will feature opportunities to learn about various organizations, participate in various activities, enjoy food from women-owned businesses, and take pictures at our photo booth! All students, faculty, staff, and community members are welcome to participate.

Pictures from last year's event are linked HERE. Photos taken by Sammy Kopecky of Samantha Kopecky Photography.

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.

Marked annually on March 8th, International Women's Day (IWD) is one of the most important days of the year to:

  • Celebrate women's achievements
  • Raise awareness about women's equality
  • Lobby for accelerated gender parity
  • Fundraise for female-focused organizations
