Faculty-led Trips
KSU in Italy: Business, Leadership, and Fashion
Kansas State University in Italy is located in the Italian hill town of Orvieto in Umbria, Italy. Orvieto is centrally located between Rome and Florence, with both cities just a short train ride away. Positioned atop a volcanic tufa-stone butte and surrounded by stunning countryside, Orvieto is the stage in which students interact with Italy through its art, history, food, and culture. Orvieto is composed of layers of rich history, from its Etruscan underground to its Romanesque cathedrals. Orvieto offers important archaeological and architectural sites to visit, cultural events to take part in throughout the year, excellent food and wine to appreciate, and a friendly, calm, and welcoming atmosphere. The entire city can be considered a living classroom that allows students to immerse in a culturally stimulating environment surrounded by piazzas, palaces, churches, and cobbled lanes. The study center in Orvieto is located inside a newly renovated building near the lively Piazza del Popolo, where a city market occurs every Thursday and Saturday.
The KSU in Italy - Business, Leadership, and Fashion program is open to all students and majors. Students will study with KSU faculty members at the Centro Studi Citta di Orvieto and earn KSU credit.
