CBA Outstanding Senior and Commencement Speaker
Congratulations to Michaela Crow for being selected as the recipient of the CBA Outstanding Graduating Senior Award and to Max Roberts for being selected as the Student Commencement Speaker.

Michaela Crow, a native of Manhattan, KS, is the daughter of Randy and Michelle Crow. While an undergraduate, Michaela has demonstrated exceptional academic achievements by maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA while pursuing her major in Accounting and a minor in Spanish. Michaela is currently enrolled in the Accelerated Master of Accountancy program and will begin her career with Varney & Associates, CPAs, LLC, after completing her Master’s program.

Her leadership and involvement across campus have made a lasting impact. Michaela has served as a Business Ambassador, President of Beta Alpha Psi, and a member of the Herbal Accounting Fellows, while also performing with the K-State Flute Ensemble. She has presented the college at recruiting events, mentored new students, and participated in student abroad programs in Spaid, Portugal, and Australia.

Professionally, Michaela has gained valuable experience as an Audit & Tax Intern with Varney & Associates and as a Student Accounting Employee for K-State Housing and Dining Services. Her commitment to excellence, service, and leadership has earned her numerous accolades, including the Koch Scholars Program, Business Innovation Challenge 1st Place, and multiple scholarships.

Michaela’s dedication, enthusiasm, and integrity make her a role model for her peers and a proud representative of the College of Business. We are honored to recognize her with this award and celebrate her many accomplishments.

Max Roberts, originally from Olathe, KS, is the son of Melissa and Rodney Morris and Leon and Jen Roberts. His brother, Quinn Roberts, and extended family will join him in celebrating his graduation. Max majored in Finance and minored in International Agriculture and will be joining VantEdge Partners, LP, as a Private Equity Analyst after graduation.

Max is a member of the Finance Scholars Program, a competitive academic cohort, and has interned with CBIZ Private Equity Advisory, University Venture Fund – Crossroads, and VantEdge Partners. He co-founded and successfully exited the Elite Footballers Tournament, a platform that awarded over $15,000 in scholarships to close the pay-to-play gap in US soccer. Prior to coming to K-State, Max played NCAA Division I soccer at the University of Evansville in Indiana.

His leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to the K-State community have earned him recognition across campus and beyond.

Mistler Fellows Travel Scholarship – Apply Now!
Blue Key Honor Society’s Mister Fellows scholarship offers K-State students up to $1,000 towards professional development travel expenses. The scholarship can be used to cover the cost of travel to conferences, summits, seminars, and other similar events, including transportation expenses, lodging, event fees, and food while at the conference.
