Women in Finance
The K-State College of Business held its first annual Women in Finance Day on February 4, at the Business Building. Around 70 high school students and faculty participated in the day’s events.
Presented by the Center for Principled Business and Gates Capital Management Center for Financial Analysis, the event featured sessions to educate women interested in finance about the opportunities for success within the field. Participants engaged in a day dedicated to learning opportunities, networking, and scholarships.
This event featured panels from current finance students and the following industry professionals:

- Katie Seay
The group also participated in activities to understand the basics of finance and risk management. The day concluded with closing remarks from Leanne Caret ’88, former chief executive officer and president of Boeing Defense, Space, and Security.
