K-State Day of Giving Showcases the Power of Wildcat Pride
During Kansas State University's first-ever Day of Giving, Wildcats from around the globe came together to celebrate academic excellence, student achievement, and groundbreaking research. Over 1,600 donors contributed a total of $3.4 million, supporting students, faculty research, and initiatives across the university.
This 24-hour event was both a fundraising challenge and a celebration of what makes K-State unique. It brought the Wildcat community together in a powerful show of support, demonstrating that when Wildcats unite, they can make a meaningful impact on Kansas and beyond.
This year, we focused on four pivotal areas to elevate the K-State College of Business experience:
- Applied Learning Experiences: Providing hands-on, real-world opportunities for students.
- Building Innovation: Strengthening our state-of-the-art facilities to set the standard for business education.
- Business Scholarships: Expanding access to business education and attracting top talent.
- Academic Excellence: Enhancing faculty and staff resources, research, and innovative programming.
Thanks to amazing alumni like you, the College of Business was able to raise $1,159,705 to support these four focus areas.

K-State Shaped Our Lives—Now We're Helping Shape Its Future
“K-State has shaped our family’s education and careers in incredible ways,” said Bob and Julie Bryant ’88 accounting graduate.
“After endowing a scholarship, we saw another opportunity to give back—one that keeps students ahead of the curve. With tech constantly evolving, we’ve chosen to support the Building Innovation Fund at the College of Business to help update and enhance its technology infrastructure. It’s all about preparing students for success—today and tomorrow.”
Trusting the Process: A Legacy Gift to Shape Tomorrow’s Leaders
“Giving takes many forms—whether through money, time, mentorship, or other acts of support. Leaving a legacy, however, is a unique kind of giving, one that I view as adding selfless value. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to make a legacy pledge as part of my future planning. To me, selfless value means offering support, wisdom, or resources without expecting anything in return, understanding that the impact may not always be immediately visible. Mentoring is a perfect example of this philosophy; it’s about planting seeds—ideas, guidance, or encouragement—that may take time to grow or bloom. The true power of mentoring lies in the belief that your investment in others will eventually bear fruit, even if (or especially if) you’re not there to witness it.
It’s about trusting the process and knowing that the positive effects will spread in ways you may not yet see.
Similarly, the gift I’ve committed to today for the KSU College of Business represents that same trust in a lasting impact.”
