CBA Tailgate Brings Together Family and Friends
The College of Business has traditionally held an event at the start of the fall semester for faculty, staff, and their families. In the past, we’ve enjoyed a picnic with food, games, and laughs. This year saw the start of something new: the CBA Backyard Tailgate! We also felt this was the perfect opportunity to introduce prospective students to the College of Business family, so we invited high school seniors throughout Kansas to tailgate with us before the Troy football game on September 9.
Approximately 250 people enjoyed food, beverages, and lawn games, and prospective students were given personalized building tours and the opportunity to meet and chat with faculty and staff.
“For the first time we were able to invite prospective students and their families to join CBA faculty and staff at our annual tailgate, and it was a great showcase of the community students can expect when they join the College of Business,” said Logan Gauby, Director of Recruitment for the College of Business. “We opened up the building to allow students to explore our experiential learning spaces while they mingled with faculty and staff and heard from a panel of current students about their experiences in the College of Business.”
This fall, we are once again participating in off-campus recruitment events in Wichita, and the Kansas City area – if you know any future K-Stater's, encourage them to come out!
