Yes! The students participate in experiential learning in our the business capstone class or a professional internship set with learning objectives and guided by a faculty member.
Yes! Our program regularly offers technical and career workshops. Students can learn topics such as data analytics, case evaluation, and other topics, through technical workshops from faculty and industry professionals.
If students are going to purchase a laptop, PCs are best, with an Intel Core i5 or AMD A6 processor or newer, a 240 gigabyte or larger solid-state drive (1 terabyte for MSDA students), and 8 gigabytes of memory or more. We do not recommend using Chromebooks or tablets as your primary computer. Click here for more information.
Kansas State University is fortunate because we are in the middle of everywhere - the university is centrally located between larger metropolitan cities with international industries as well as agricultual hubs. Our graduates are working at companies like KOCH Industries, Textron Aviation, Cerner, Kansas State University, Shamrock Trading, CivicPlus, Southwest Airlines, the U.S. government, and several logistics supply chain companies, including CSCS, HWE, and Sims.

Salaries vary widely dependent on location and industry, but our graduates command competitive salaries wherever they go. Our recent graduates are reporting starting salaries ranging from $55,000 - 65,000, depending on where you work.
This program does not require a thesis, but you must complete the 30 credit hours with a 3.0 GPA to receive the degree.
Currently, we do not require the GMAT/GRE for any programs. If your GPA is below a 3.0 we reserve the right to request a qualifying exam score upon acceptance to the program.
Domestic applicant dates for best consideration: July 15 for fall, December 15 for spring, and May 1 for summer.
International applicant dates for best consideration: January 8 for fall, August 1 for spring.
Yes, up to nine credit hours from an accredited university may qualify for transfer to Kansas State University. Contact your academic advisor with questions.
If your GPA is below 3.0 you can be admitted on probation. You will have 9 credit hours (3 classes) to achieve and maintain a 3.0 GPA. Let us review your transcript and offer you guidance by emailing gradbusiness@ksu.edu if you fit this category.

For the MBA we require six hours of economics, and a working knowledge of basic statistics. We do not have a professional work experience requirement.
