To help students prepare for K-State Sales Team tryouts, the 2025-2026 Peer Coaches will be hosting in-person preparation sessions. These sessions will give students the opportunity to ask questions, receive guidance on the tryout process, and get personalized feedback as they prepare for the competition.

Schedule of Events: K-State Sales Team Tryouts
The National Strategic Selling Institute is excited to host our annual K-State Sales Team Tryouts. The tryouts are scheduled to take place the week of April 15, 2026, and all events will be held at the College of Business at Kansas State University.
Below is a complete schedule of events, with all times listed in Central Time Zone (CST). If you have questions, please contact the K-State Sales Program.
Sales Team Tryouts Registration Opens
Date: Monday, March 2, 2026
Students who meet the eligibility criteria and want to try out for the K-State Sales Team must register to compete. All students must register by Friday, March 27, 2026. Late registration will not be accepted. To register, please complete the following form.
To provide more information about the K-State Sales Team and tryouts, we will be hosting in-person informational sessions. In the sessions, students will be able to learn more about the K-State Sales Team. In addition, an overview of the structure for tryouts will be discussed, with an opportunity for students to ask questions.

April 15: Kick-Off Ceremony
Time: 4:00 pm

Dress: Business Casual
Note: All students competing are required to attend the Kick-Off Ceremony. If a student is absent, they will forfeit their spot in the competition.
Round 1
Time: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Location: NSSI Suite (2121 Business Building)

Note: The top two students in each room will advance to Round 2 (six students); the remaining 30 students will compete in the Wildcard Round.
Wildcard Round
Time: 1:00 - 5:00 pm
Location: NSSI Suite (2121 Business Building)

Note: The top student in each room will advance to Round 2 (three students), along with the six students advancing from Round 1. All nine students advancing to Round 2 be assigned a role-play time.
Round 2

Note: Round 3 will be live-streamed for all students competing. The live stream will take place in the Tadtman Board Room at the K-State Alumni Association. All students who competed in the competition are highly encouraged to attend the live stream.
Awards Ceremony
The final placings will be announced at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Awards Ceremony hosted for all students competing in the K-State Sales Team Tryouts. Lunch will be provided.

All students competing are required to attend the Award Ceremony. If a student is not in attendance, they will forfeit their eligibility to be on the K-State Sales Team for the 2026 - 2027 academic year.
