K-State Sales Team Tryouts Schedule

The National Strategic Selling Institute is excited to host our annual K-State Sales Team Tryouts. The tryouts are scheduled to take place the week of April 17, 2023, and all events will be held at the College of Business at Kansas State University.

Below is a complete schedule, with all times listed in Central Time Zone (CST). Please note that all students must complete the registration form to compete in the tryouts.

Monday, April 17, 2023

K-State Sales Team Tryouts Preparation Session
Time: 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Location: 3042 Business Building
Dress: Smart Casual

All students competing are highly encouraged to attend the Preparation Session.

 

Wednesday, April 19, 2023

K-State Sales Team Tryouts Kick-Off Ceremony
Time: 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Location: 4061 Business Building
Dress: Business Casual

All students competing are required to attend the Kick-Off Ceremony. If you are not in attendance you will forfeit your spot to compete in the competition.

Thursday, April 20, 2023

Round 1
Time: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Location: NSSI Suite (2121 Business Building)
Dress: Business Professional

The top two students in each room will advance to Round 2 (six students); the remaining 24 students will compete in the Wildcard Round.

Wildcard Round
Time: 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Location: NSSI Suite (2121 Business Building)
Dress: Business Professional

The top student in each room will advance to Round 2 (three students), along with the six students advancing from Round 1. All nine students advancing to Round 2 be assigned a role-play time.

Friday, April 21, 2023

Round 2
Time: 8:00 - 9:00 a.m.
Location: NSSI Suite (2121 Business Building)
Dress: Business Professional

The top student in each room will advance to Round 3. All three students advancing to Round 3 be assigned a role-play time.

Round 3
Time: 10:10 - 11:10 a.m.
Location: NSSI Suite (2121 Business Building)
Dress: Business Professional

Round 3 will be lived streamed for all students competing. The live stream will take place in 1092 Business Building.

K-State Sales Team Tryouts Awards Ceremony
The final placings will be announced at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023, at the K-State Sales Team Tryouts Awards Ceremony hosted for all students competing in the K-State Sales Team Tryouts. Lunch will be provided.

Time: 11:30 a.m.
Location: 1092 Business Building
Dress: Business Casual

All students competing are required to attend the K-State Sales Team Tryouts Award Ceremony. If you are not in attendance, you will forfeit your eligibility to be on the K-State Sales Team for the 2023 - 2024 academic year.
