Sales Ambassadors Organization

As a Sales Ambassador, you must attend bi-weekly meetings during the semester. These meetings will provide you with knowledge of the K-State Sales Program, National Strategic Selling Institute, and professional development opportunities. Your primary responsibilities will be to assist in the retention of current students and the recruitment of prospective students into the K-State Sales Program, volunteer at events and activities hosted on campus by the National Strategic Selling Institute, attend bi-weekly meetings for the Sales Ambassadors Organization, and participate in Corporate Partner branded events.

To be selected, you must have a 3.00 or higher GPA, be enrolled in the certificate or major in Professional Strategic Selling, and have completed one semester at Kansas State University. You can apply to be a Sales Ambassador and the certificate or major in Professional Strategic Selling in the same semester.

If you currently serve as a Sales Ambassador, you must apply every semester if you wish to renew your membership in the organization for the upcoming semester. Preference will be given to those Sales Ambassadors who make an effort and positively impact the organization.

Applications into the Sales Ambassador organization happen twice per academic year every fall and spring. Completed applications are due November 1st, 2025 for fall and April 1st, 2026 for spring. Interviews will be required.

The K-State Sales Program Student Mentor Program is designed so that each new sales student is paired up with an older sales student actively involved in the National Strategic Selling Institute. Mentees will be paired with a Sales Ambassador, who serves as a mentor throughout the first year the new students are involved with the program.

Mission Statement:

The Student Mentor Program exists to introduce students to the opportunities provided by the National Strategic Selling Institute and connects them with current members. Mentors should plan on meeting with their mentees at NSSI events.
