What was something you learned at K-State that you still use to run your business today?

K-State Engineering taught me problem solving: developing a hypothesis and looking for data to support or refute the hypothesis. I took this mindset into my business career to create product-market fit, establish teams, develop partnerships, sell the business, and eventually help other entrepreneurs with their businesses. The variety of things I learned at K-State helped me develop a muscle to come up to speed quickly in different functions and industries and is serving me well.

What inspires you?

I love a blank page and imagining what the world could be like. That is the fun of starting companies. Being around entrepreneurs is great fun so I am happy to be in a place where I have had success and am able to help other entrepreneurs with their journey.

If you could give a new entrepreneur one piece of advice, what would it be?

It is important to be deeply passionate about the problem that you are solving and so excited to get up every day and work on the change that you want to bring to the world. Entrepreneurship is a bumpy ride so a fascination for solving the problem can help keep you going on the rough days. Finding lots of friends and mentors to share the journey with you helps a lot, too.
