About Bente
Bente earned her undergraduate degree in business with a major in marketing and master’s in business administration from the University of Arkansas. She originally came to the US from Norway to pursue her education and has since lived in several states throughout the country. She has been an academic advisor in the College of Business for more than two decades and has been leading the Student Success Center – Academic Advising – for more than 5 years. She has a true passion for working with students and helping them be successful in the business program. She is also engaged with several programs in the college and throughout K-State, including the Study Abroad Advocates and other international initiatives.
Bente has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to advising at K-State by receiving several awards, including the prestigious Presidential Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Advising. She is actively involved in several professional organizations such as the National Academic Advising Association, the Kansas Academic Advising Network, K-State's University Advising Committee, K-State's Academic Advisors Forum and Women of K-State. She is married, is a pet lover and enjoys traveling to places around the world in her spare time.
