Beta Alpha Psi
Beta Alpha Psi is a nonprofit international honorary and service organization for accounting, finance, and information systems students at AACSB- or EQUIS-accredited universities.
Its stated purposes include recognition of outstanding academic achievements in the fields of accounting, finance, and information systems; promotion of the study and practice of professional fields related to these disciplines; provision of opportunities for self-development and association among members and practicing financial professionals; and encouragement of a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibilities. The Epsilon Theta Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi was installed at Kansas State University in April 1978.
Requirements for Membership
Associates
- Have declared a major in accounting, finance or business analytics (or have stated an intention to declare a major in accounting, finance, or business analytics).
Candidates
- Have declared a major in accounting, finance or business analytics (or have stated an intention to declare a major in accounting, finance, or business analytics).
- Have completed 45+ credit hours of collegiate courses.
- Enrolled in or completed at least one upper-level accounting course (300+)
- Have attained a cumulated grade point average of at least 3.0 (where A is equal to 4.0)
- Have attained a cumulative grade point average in upper-level accounting courses of at least 3.0 (where A is equal to 4.0)
Members
- Complete all the requirements for candidates
- Attend initiation ceremony
