Start Strong: MAPS and Kompass

MAPS and Kompass are K-State’s high-impact transition programs designed to help in-state incoming first-generation, Pell-eligible, and all other students, prepare for academic success. These summer programs build confidence, introduce campus resources, and connect you with a supportive community as you begin your college journey. The application deadlines have been extended to May 18!

During your first semester as a business student, enroll in the Rise Up Cat Community—a space focused on support, accountability, and goal setting. Here, you’ll connect with peers from many backgrounds, develop strong habits for success, and learn and stay focused on your academic and personal goals.

Rise as a Leader: Rise Up Scholars

As you continue your journey in the College of Business, become a Rise Up Scholar, an award-winning leadership program recognized with the 2023 Inspiring Programs in Business Award.

Rise Up Scholars is a high-expectation leadership program where business students earn the Scholar title by demonstrating accountability, goal achievement, and trusted leadership each semester. The earned title of Rise Up Scholar comes with perks including scholarship opportunities, applied learning, travel, company tours, and specialized AI training.

Through the Rise Up program, you will be encouraged and supported to:
