Why did you choose K-State/CBA? Kansas State felt like home from the minute I walked on campus and started talking to people. I only toured Kansas State for a college visit because if I was not accepted I probably was not going to come to college. I switched from Dietetics my sophomore year to the college of business because the atmosphere of the college felt more professional and made me want to pursue a career path that was constantly adapting and evolving.

Involvement at K-state or in the community: I am the vice president of Phi Sigma Pi here at Kansas State University and a member of the Student Accounting Society.

Why did you apply to be an Advising Assistant? In one of my very first classes in the college of business, two advising assistants visited us during the first week of classes and talked about their role in the college and from there I was hooked. I asked later that week if any positions were open, and although it took a year, I am finally here. I love that I have the opportunity to help my peers and make someone else’s college career a little easier.

What is your most memorable moment at K-State? Watching the solar eclipse with so many other students and faculty and seeing the way everyone came together for such an extraordinary event.

Have you studied abroad, if so where did you go and name your favorite experience. If you have not, what would your ideal country to study abroad at? If I were to study abroad, I would love to go to the Middle East or Europe. I am half-Lebanese so I would love to experience the cultures of the Middle East and hear the language. Europe would also be an ideal place to go because there are so many countries so close together and you can get a great mix of cultures and experiences all in one trip.
