Undergraduate Certificate Programs

Certificate programs are a set number of courses that allow you to specialize in a subject that suits your major and career aspirations. select from four undergraduate certificates programs, which are open to all students and majors.

Business of Sports & Entertainment

The business of sports and entertainment certificate program will provide students with a deep understanding of the role of sports and entertainment in business, enhanced by hands-on, real-time experiential learning opportunities. The certificate allows students to develop marketing, economic, and management skills needed for a successful career in the sports and entertainment industries, but also in corporations where sports and entertainment decisions are made.


  • Three Required Courses:
    • MKTG 630: Sports Marketing
    • MKTG 625: Entertainment Marketing
    • ECON 524: Sports Economics

  • Two of the following electives:
    • MANGT 630: Sports Management
    • MKTG 495: Marketing Internship
    • MKTG 542: Fundamentals of Professional Selling
    • HM 463: Business Event Coordination

Data Analytics

Data analytics is a rapidly growing interdisciplinary field that involves collecting, processing and analyzing large data sets. You will learn how to use data to solve problems, look for trends, and make key decisions.

International Business

Are you a student who seeks adventure, growth and international exposure  that will enhance your personal and professional development? Then this certficiate is right for you. You will have the opportunity to study and/or do an internship abroad to immerse yourself in another culture.


  • Advanced foreign language study, Level 4 or the equivalent in a modern language offered by the Department of Modern Languages
  • An additional (6) credit hours in upper level language courses in a single language
  • World Regional Geography
  • International Marketing
  • International Management
  • International Financial Management or Development Economics
  • An approved international course in consultation with your Academic Advisor
  • An approved study abroad or international experience

Integrated Investment Management

The certificate is for students who are interested in careers in the investment management industry, or owning and managing their own investment firm. The required courses will provide you with the fundamentals of investment management and a broader business perspective on the industry. You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge in the management of the college's Student Investment Portfolio that's worth $1 million.

Professional Strategic Selling

Prepare for your career in sales with an education from one of the top sales programs in the country according to the Sales Education Foundation. You will be exposed to the fundamentals of sales and develop the skills you need through our innovative curriculum and sales labs.


For non-marketing majors

Entry into the PSS Certificate program will be competitive.  Students must apply and be accepted to the program via a behaviorally-based interview process conducted by faculty and corporate partners. Students must earn a minimum of 2.50 grade point average on courses taken to fulfill the requirements of the Certificate in Professional Strategic Selling. Students must earn at least 50% of credits that apply to the certificate from Kansas State University or an approved university affiliate of the university in a foreign country. Applications for admission will be processed twice a year.
