Sales Mentors Program
Student Mentor Program
The K-State Sales Program Student Mentor Program is designed so each new sales student is paired up with an older sales student who is actively involved in the National Strategic Selling Institute. The older sales student will act and serve as a mentor throughout the course of the first year in which the new students are involved in the program.
In order to be selected to serve as a sales student mentor you must have a 3.00 or higher cumulative GPA, be accepted into the Certificate in Professional Strategic Selling or the Major in Professional Strategic Selling, and have completed SALES 542: Fundamentals of Professional Selling. Also, you must be willing to commit to meeting with your assigned mentee(s) at least once a month and attend other events as scheduled.
If you are interested in becoming a sales student mentor, applications for the spring semester are due October 15, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. If accepted as a sales student mentor, you will serve from December 2021 - May 2022, with the option to reapply during the spring term.
All applicants will be notified on the status of their application by Friday, October 22, 2021. If accepted to serve as a sales student mentor, you will be required to attend a mandatory training session to be announced at a later date. At this meeting you will also get your mentee pairing(s).
