Alumni Success Stories

Sandy Her
Account Manager | Gartner

"My favorite part about the K-State Sales Program is the hands-on experience I received throughout the program. The professors and classes helped me learn what it takes to be a sales professional and constantly challenged me to level up my sales skills. Having been a part of this program has helped me feel like I’m one year ahead in my role as a new sales professional. This program showed me how to embrace every challenge I face, not just in this industry, but also in life."

Rachel Kipper
Account Executive, Financial Services | Salesforce
Class of 2018

"My favorite part of the K-State Sales Program was competing in sales competitions around the United States and Europe and meeting/learning from students around the world. I have continued to stay in contact with the friends I made at these competitions and they have strengthened my professional network over the years. The training and practice I received from the program absolutely set me up for success at Salesforce and allowed me to advance my career at an accelerated pace."

Abbie O'Grady
Sales Development Representative | Adobe
Class of 2020

"I am so lucky to have the education from the
K-State Sales Program going into my first sales role! Just this morning, one of the account managers I am responsible for generating pipeline for, asked if I would be comfortable running a discovery call for a prospect at Facebook. Without my sales education, I would not feel nearly as confident to run this call, and I would not have the skills to be able to prove myself as a valuable member of my new team - after only two months on the job! Being a part of the program has definitely set me up for success and made me feel more confident in this new role."

Mike Schonewetter
Account Executive | Mansfield Oil Company
Class of 2016

"As I began my career, my experience in the
K-State Sales Program, both through the curriculum and extracurricular, set me far-ahead in my cohort. I was able to focus on refining my knowledge in the industry and within my company while utilizing my collegiate sales knowledge to my advantage. The experience and knowledge I gained in college set me up for a quick path to success in sales, and continue to be vital in my everyday sales efforts."
