Startup School

Heartland Heritage owner speaking with guest after completing LAB program.

Have you been mulling over a new venture concept on nights and weekends, and are ready to take the next step? Do you have an idea or early-stage business you know is the next BIG thing? The startup journey can be lonely — if you're looking for support along the road, you're in the right place.

What is Startup School?

Startup School provides students the opportunity to explore their new business idea through access to world-class K-State faculty and alumni.  Through this class, students will learn a variety of practical tools and resources and apply them to their venture concept with the goal of operating the business over the summer (or longer!).

Startup School will take place during the second eight weeks of the Spring 2020 semester.

What do participating ventures get?

  • Credit for ENTRP 440 - Entrepreneurship
  • $2,000 scholarship
  • Custom startup workshops
  • One-on-one mentoring

Priority Application Review Begins Nov. 1st, 2019
