Research Goals

Tori Culbertson conducts research primarily in the areas of employment interviews, performance management, and work-family conflict and facilitation, with recent ventures in the areas of workplace engagement and judgment and decision making. Her primary goal is to identify ways in which improvements can be made in each of these areas, to benefit both organizations and their employees.

Current Research & Consulting Projects

  • Understanding the role of memory recall in behavior description interviews
  • Examining the crossover and spillover of work-family conflict in dual-earner couples
  • Understanding the effects of response lags on interview ratings
  • Examining the impact of emotions within the appraisal-tendency framework

Major Accomplishments

  • Have worked for and consulted with a variety of organizations on human resources management topics
  • Published in Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Human Relations, among others.
