About Ashley

Ashley began her career as an advisor at Allen Community College in 2008 and joined the K-State CBA Staff in July 2012.  She earned an undergraduate degree in Agriculture: Animal Science & Industry from K-State and a Master of Science degree in Community Counseling from Fort Hays State University.

A true Wildcat at heart, she enjoys attending all KSU sporting events as well as exercising and spending time with her family.  Ashley has a true passion for connecting with students in her role as Academic Advisor and was awarded the Kansas State Bank Advising Award for Outstanding Advising in the Spring 2015. She is involved in numerous initiatives at the university level including serving as co-chair for the Faculty Senate Professional Staff Affairs Committee and has been a lead contributor in the development of a career ladder for primary role advisors at K-State. Along with these initiatives, Ashley serves as a member of the NACADA (international professional organization for academic advisors) Professional Development Committee and, with a colleague, has recently published a paper and presented at conferences on her work with the advisor career ladder. Her focus areas within her role includes serving as the liaison to the Management department and K-State Athletics and assisting the unique populations of student athletes, MAPS students and Academic Coaching students.  She is continuing her education in the area of Student Affairs by pursuing a PhD in Counseling and Student Development from K-State.
