John Graham (1945-2013)
He lived his motto of "it is fine to disagree, but do so agreeably. Be respectful, but challenge another."
-Terry Matlack, Tortoise Capital Advisors
His many contributions to the College of Business Administration remains immense. I know he will be missed but never forgotten by the students, faculty and staff of the college. I will miss him very much but treasure his memories.
-Yar Ebadi, Dean Emeritus
Because he was humble and because he picked his battles wisely, he had a huge rolodex. People sought his counsel and he was always willing to give it. He was a believer in the circle of life.
-Gary Henson, Montage Investments
He always went out of his way to help others. He had a real passion for students, knew everybody and always helped out in getting interviews for students. As a former student, I think he was one of the best.
-Eric Higgins, Finance Department Head
I can say with little reservation, Dr. Graham’s Financial Planning class was the best course I took in my four years of undergraduate and two years of MBA at Kansas State. Not only was the course material important to everyday life after college, he made it interesting and relevant through his wisdom and experience. His years of experience in the business world and his passion for life absolutely radiated from him; it made me want to soak up every word he spoke so I could better understand how to emulate his success in life. What an honor to have been his student and to have known him.
-Brice A. Libel, Farmers State Bank
