Management Information Systems Club
The MIS Club is composed of students enrolled in the MIS degree track along with others
interested in the dynamic areas of management of information systems, computer technology
and the digital enterprise.
The mission of the MIS Club is to provide a solid foundation for College of Business
Administration students beyond the classroom. To achieve this mission the MIS Club
encourages professional development that includes entrepreneurial activities that
benefit corporations and create real life experiences. The MIS Club is a member driven
organization which creates many unique opportunities for leadership and participation.
The club’s board of directors lead many of these strategic and planning activities
such as facilitating consulting experiences with corporations. Other students then
have opportunities to lead these “real world” projects as well as participate in the
tasks associated with the activity. Consulting experiences offer each student a chance
to gain experience, supplement their income, and support the fundraising for the club.
Along with meetings which focus on new technologies, corporate experiences and/or
tours of information technology uses, each member is able to use MIS Club activities
to bolster their experiences and use these experiences to communicate their career
development.
