Corporate Days in Calvin Hall

Corporate Days are an opportunity for companies to join us in our college to lecture, network, and collaborate with us so we can all learn from each other.

Our academic staff works to match executives with faculty who may benefit from speaking in their classrooms, organize networking events, set up interviews and work with companies to customize the program to their needs. Students are encouraged to attend these events, and are given credit for participating in some of them through Professional Advantage, our professional development program.

Our marketing staff works with companies to offer marketing services, including signage, company logos and description on our website, and a news release sent out to media, as well as faculty and staff across campus. The company's most senior executive in attendance may also be invited to be featured in our online video Success Series.

Corporate Days are scheduled by invitation only for February, March, April, September, October, and November of each year.

More About the Program

What We Offer

Corporate Days offer access to 2,500 undergraduates from all majors, plus 90 graduate students, with whom to network. Companies also have access to 95 world-class faculty and staff, and their research in critical areas such as business analytics, business ethics, innovation, and financial reporting quality. We want partnerships with researchers that can help improve companies that participate in Corporate Days.

What Companies Bring

A major part of what makes Corporate Days successful and beneficial to our students is that companies bring their experiences, which is valuable to both the college and our students. A team of executives placed in our classrooms, and human resources staff to network and recruit students make these Days extremely beneficial.

Activities

We encourage companies to work with us to customize Corporate Days events to best suit the company. These are selected activities that we typically arrange for companies to participate in, depending on time of year, availability and benefit to our students:

  • Professional Advantage applied seminars
  • Virtual headquarters tour
  • Mock interviews
  • Networking events
  • One-on-one time with researchers
  • Lectures
  • Case competitions
  • Recruitment booths
