College of Business Administration

Management Department

The management department is the largest academic department in the College of Business Administration. There are three majors, one of which offers three different specialization tracks and one minor.

Mission & Vision

The mission of the department of management is to shape tomorrow’s leaders through relevant, ethical, and innovative management scholarship. All management courses add value to students’ education. Graduates of our programs are sought out by businesses and organizations because of the knowledge base, skill sets, and attitudes acquired at K-State. Graduates are responsible and valued members of their respective business communities and society at large. Faculty members are recognized as experts in their respective fields.

Advisory Board & Corportate Partners

Advisory Board

The department of management at K-State builds strong partnerships through our Management Advisory Board. Partner companies are able to:

  • Obtain valuable exposure to the top students in the management and management information systems fields
  • Create strong recognition for their company with other management students and
  • Gain immediate access to research developments as they emerge

Partners provide the management department with advice and feedback on our programs and our strategy. Partners also participate by providing advice and counsel to management and management information systems students for their career opportunities. In addition, partner companies assist the department through their financial contributions and support. Involvement in the Management Advisory Board allows firms to participate in a variety of ways that will directly impact hundreds of students annually.

Partner companies gain the opportunity to identify highly talented students whose career goals and interests span a broad spectrum of industries. Management students are equally eager to know about the companies who recruit at K-Statat, and are most likely to accept positions at those firms they know.
